Knowledge, skills and experience
• Supporting the children’s, learning and playing, indoors and outdoors, in response to the developmental needs of children. I would give support to children with in small groups.
• I would Support the teacher, and also worked independently to promote self-esteem and independence, and acceptance of all children. To assist independently and also with guidance from the teacher in the management of children's behaviour, in a positive and consistent manner.
• To support and plan activities, appropriate to the development stage of the children, under the guidance of the teacher, and also independently as a child minder and as an organiser for Messy Church.
• To tidy the classroom after activities and to assist with the displays of children’s work in the setting as required. To report children’s achievements, progress issues as appropriate under the direction of the teacher, and independently.
• Awareness of health, safety and hygiene issues
• Good organisational skills. Ability to work effectively within a team, and also independently,
• Ability to build effective working relationships with all pupils and colleagues.
• Ability to promote a positive ethos and promote a positive attitude as a role model.
• Ability to work with children at all levels regardless of specific individual need e.g. individual learning styles.
• I have knowledge of caring for children with special needs, Autism, Asperger Syndrome, ADD, and ADHD. I worked towards having close links with his school and his parents to ensure all his educational and social needs were paramount.
• I use the EYFS frame work to plan activities, in order to record and monitor the children’s development. I've developed close links with the parents by working in partnership, I obtained skills on the importance of promoting an inclusive practice demonstrating equality of opportunity and anti-discriminatory and acceptance of all children.
• Skills incorporating all legal requirements (policies and procedures), welfare standards and being ready for an Ofsted inspection.
• I've gained a minimum 3 years’ experience of working with and/or caring for children, working, voluntary as a TA in Lawrence Rd Primary and working as a learning assistant at Queens Park Rd Primary School.
• I’ve worked as a child minder for 12 years, organising breakfast clubs, afterschool clubs, and holiday cubs.
• I’ve have organised after school clubs called messy church and managed a small team.
• I have gain experience working along parents for many years either as a one to one or within the community.
• I have work with children between the ages of 0 to 12 for 12 years, I am able to build up good relationships with children from all different age groups, and back grounds. I enjoy working within a classroom setting as part of a team, and also independently as a child minder.
