I am a qualified Early Years teacher with over 12 years experience of childcare and early years education. I have achieved an Outstanding inspection grade on every inspection since 2007, the most recent being December 2015.

I absolutely love my job especially seeing the children who I have cared for since babies make the big transition into school with all the knowledge and independence that will make them confident and willing little learners, that's the best feeling in the world!

A little bit about me personally.., I live just off the Riseholme roundabout at the top end of town. I am married to Paul, a welder and part time artist, I have 3 children (2 boys 13 & 7 yrs and a girl 5 yrs) and share our house (and garden) with lots of tropical fish, a 3 Bearded Dragons, 2 giant rabbits and a small chinese crested powder puff dog called Gizmo.

Louise provides childcare for my son. She will also be providing child care for my daughter when I return to work in February. LoobyLous provides a fantastic childcare environment, both inside and out. There is a large garden which has a variety of activities to stimulate and educate the youngsters including a vegetable patch from which my son has brought home potatoes. Inside there’s a wide range of books, toys and sensory activities. The children’s week is structured with activities and parents are informed of the itinerary via email which helps you keep updated with what your child is doing. The itinerary is based on educating the children so even from a young age they are learning. I’ve a great variety of artwork and crafts around the house that have been completed during my son’s days! The children also have the chance to go on excursions to places based on the theme of that term, for example different forms of transport and this is such an excellent idea. The food provided for the children is all homemade so you can be assured that little ones’ nutrition is being well catered for. My son has a number of allergies and these are respected by and catered for by all the staff at LoobyLous. I couldn’t recommend LoobyLous enough to parents who want a stimulating but caring environment for their children. It is clear that all the staff love their job and have the children’s well-being, care and development at the forefront of their minds.
