Robyn, foreign au pair - CA4 Scotby

Hello, my name is Robyn and I am 18 years of age. I
like to be creative in anything I do from making cards for different occasions throughout the year and baking and decorating cakes and biscuits as small gifts. I also like to read in my spare time to relax and enjoy biking in the countryside to soak up the fresh air.

I find myself a very caring, patient, trustworthy and bubbly person and I'd like to be able to achieve and gain as much experience in working with children and learning different skills.
My career ambition is to work with children as I find caring for children such a positive activity and find it very rewarding knowing the help and encouragement I am giving is to promote their learning and development in my care.
I have had much experience working and caring for children as I have worked with two different child-minders in the past working alongside them in preparing different activities to do, both physical and creative. I have babysat for one of these families for some time with their 3 children ages 5-11 and have grew a connection to be able for them to feel comfortable with me and ask for help or advice.
I also have worked for a family caring for their two year old child whilst they were at work where I would prepare nutritional meals and plan and implement activities to help promote their learning and development.I also worked with creating a strong positive bond to help the child feel comfortable in my care and when caring for their personal needs such as changing their nappy and clothes if needed so. Myself and the child would go on small trips around the village along with a picnic and some activities such as paper and colouring pencils to colour over different textures e.g. a tree.

I have recently just qualified and gained a Diploma in Children and Young Person's Workforce Level 3 in a School setting and enjoyed gaining the experience of working with different age groups as I experienced helping in the other classrooms with children ages 6+.
