Jennifer, foreign au pair in Coatbridge ML5

My name is Jennifer i am 22 years old and come from Coatbridge. I am looking to work as a child carer. I am kind, polite, responsible and approchable. I am friendly, great with communication, punctual, i am always vigilant and reliable. I have always worked with people and am good listener. I have experience working with children aged 6 months - 12 years old. I have worked at a playgroup and youth group for 6 months in 2012 for six months, then I started working at stepping Stones Nursery for 18 months while getting my qualification in childcare, since then I have been working in a primary school as an additional support needs classroom assistant. While in these roles I've had to think of different activities to target the setting I am in. When I worked in the nursery in the baby room the activities would be things like messy, sensory and discovery play with play dough, shaving foam, water, sand, ice and paint allowing the children to explore different textures, sounds and looks. In the older room it was things like fine motor skills, health and wellbeing, numeracy and language skills I was trying to help develop with activities such as cooking when ingredients needed measuring, messy play where I was asking the children their opinion on what they felt, heard and saw. I also held the children get ready for going to primary school by showing pencil control and letter formation.
