I'm a sunny, patient, reliable person with a big imagination who adores spending time with children. I'm crafty and creative, and willing to get stuck into just about anything. I'm experienced in running games and in health and safety procedures.
I don't have any formal childcare qualifications but I've been regularly working with children since I was 15 years old. My childcare experience includes: 3 years as a Brownie Young Leader, 1 year as a Brownie and Rainbow Assistant Leader, over a year working as an ATE monitor (Looking after, organising games and activities for and generally spending 24/7 with a group of 8 children staying at residential holiday camps) and 1 month's work placement as a Year 1 Classroom Assistant at Exeter Road Community Primary School, as well as helping with relation's children.
I'm a recent English Graduate with an especial interest in Children's Literature, so I know so many stories and own some beautiful books I'd love to share. Other personal interests I have include writing, felt making, baking, scrap-booking, collecting bits of nature on walks, singing, playing the ukulele and voluntary community work.
I would not be able to produce a First Aid certificate but I have done a half day training course with St John's Ambulance and further first aid training with both GirlGuiding and ATE. I can only do basic cookery but I am happy to help with that and housework to the best of my ability. I am currently working towards getting my full driving license.
