Becca, foreign au pair in Felindre SA5

My name is Rebecca and I am 21 years old, enthusiastic and passionate about working with children. I have had multiple jobs working with children, in a variety of settings and with children of all abilities and ages. I have an OCN in Playwork, earned when working for Neath Port Talbot Council as a Playworker, organizing and running events and activities for children, so am used to risk assessing and having to have eyes everywhere! I have also volunteered abroad teaching anti- drug workshops in schools in South Africa, something I learnt so much from, such as empathy to all situations.
I love getting outdoors, and believe that children should be as active and healthy as possible, and have recently worked in an outdoor activity centre, teaching activities such as rock climbing and nature walks. I found this job highly rewarding, however I missed the nurturing side of childcare, and really enjoy getting to understand and work with children one on one.
