I am twenty nine years old and currently work as an Assistant Houseparent in a Boarding school. I would like to become a Nanny/PA/Housekeeper. I enjoy my job at school but after two years of no evening or weekends in my personal life I would like to find a job that would allow me to attend a regular club or activity and see family and friends on a weekend in Barnsley. My sister is about to have a baby and I will be an Aunty for the first time I do not want to miss out living at boarding school!
The majority of my experience is centred around being a Brownie leader, I have gained qualifications in Girlguiding that allow me to lead a unit of Brownies and take them away overnight. If you are not sure what Brownies are it's a group of girls aged between seven and eleven and they meet weekly to do arts and crafts, badges, life skills, play games and sing songs. I would like to continue this voluntary work if I were to be a nanny in your family as it is very important to me, I go on Monday evening for two hours. I also have level two CACHE Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools.
I think I would be best suited to a family with children of 6 years and above. I don't mind doing house work (I am 6* trained in cleaning, it's not my favourite task though), I can cook but I am no 5* chef. I am happy to travel. I could quite easily double as a PA and help out with any admin tasks. As you will be able to see from my CV I am a bit of an all rounder with various skills and qualities. In my work with children and young adults I generally think "right, what did my mum say or do with me in this situation?" She's a trained nursery nurse so it usually works out ok. I have a first aid qualification, I can drive, I have a sense of humour and I like to get stuck in!
This is all very new to me in terms of being a nanny and what families are looking for so if you think I might fit in with your family or would like to meet me to know more please get in touch.
Thank you
Catherine
