Nicole, foreign au pair in Leeds LS1

I am an 18 year old student, who is interested in babysitting during school holidays, weekends and evenings. I am very patient and eager to engage with all activities such as homework. I understand that every child is different and will need a personal care plan. I also enjoy educating children through play and fun activities such as inviting children to engage with their imagination through role play. Two games I enjoy introducing to children are musical statues and team games. Musical statues teaches children self-discipline as they need to stay still and quiet while team games teach the importance of team work. Having cared for my younger siblings and children of different ages and backgrounds I have gained valuable experience of different care routines, which has equipped me to provide care for all children. I have dealt with difficult situations including challenging behaviour, which has allowed me to develop my capability in providing excellent child care. Along with this I have cared for children that have suffered from various illnesses with allergies and severe skin conditions being the main illnesses.
