Tanisha, foreign au pair in Leeds LS6

My name is Tanisha and I enjoy working with children and taking care of them ensuring their safety is my number one priority, I enjoy having fun and participating with childrens games and activities and I have a lot of experience supervising children as I've worked in a primary school setting for just over a year with a reception and year 1 class, I've also babysat for my family and this is usually on a fortnightly basis, I'm always confident, bubbly and friendly. I'm mainly looking for a babysitting position but any other job would be great and I'm calm, careful, organised, tidy, determined, caring and compassionate. I'm friendly and enjoy building relationships. I'm very playful and active however I remain responsible, I'm very punctual and good at time keeping. I'm sensitive to children's specific needs and the help the require on a daily basis. I have experience working with special educational needs children and also children with english as an additional language; I will willingly help with homework and set a good example, I'll also help with any other issues such as friends, relationships or just something they may feel upset about. I'm very good at giving advice and giving a helping hand and my main priority is to make sure children are happy. I always ensure to put childrens and parents wishes and wants first, I will follow all rules and duties that are assigned to me and I will remain patient whilst completing my duties. I have an authoritative figure as at times you need to enforce rules however I'm not too strict, I've covered topics within my certificate about discipline which has given me the knowledge to show children who's in charge but still remain kind and calm as a loud voice and aggressive attitude can be very off putting and upsetting to a child. I have a wide range of experience with working with children and its something I really enjoy to do, I'm extremely passionate about childcare and have been ever since I was little. Whilst working in a primary school I've played games such as duck, duck, goose, I've set up christmas activities and inclusion, diversity and anti bullying activities, I've read books to children, I've done spanish counting games, I've also supervised gardening, football and dance which I've been doing since I was 6 years old. I've also played bulldogs with children, hide and seek and arts and crafts which is one of my favourites as I love encouraging children to be creative and artistic.
