My name is Carmen and in may 2018 I will be turning 28 years old. I have known my whole life that I wanted to work in childcare! I have been babysitting since I was around 14 years old, and after high school I studied childcare. During my study I have done internships in different nurseries. During this internships I found out how much I adore working with little children. I decided to start another, extra, one year course. To specialize in the care for/development of children within the age of 0-5 years old. This is where I got a qualification to be a Nursery nurse/manager(level 4). Since I finished school, I have been working to gain as much experience as possible!
I am born and raised in Holland. I have learned to speak English in primary school and after my study I decided to go and develop my English even more, by working abroad for English company's for four years. I worked on three different campsites in France, where I have been giving baby swimming classes, toddler cycling lessons and offered different activiteit for children up to six years. I also moved to the ski resort Val D'isere to be a nanny for different English families, who enjoyed a ski holiday.
After my adventures abroad, I found myself a job in a nursery in Holland. I am working on my own baby group (0 to 2 years) for over a year now, I developed even more and had a great experience.
During my stay in Val D'isere, I met my boyfriend, who always lived in the area of Wetherby/Leeds. I am moving in with him in Leeds/Moortown around may/june and I would love to become a nanny for a nice family in the area.
I always try to be a fun nanny, who also knows how to give children boundaries. I think it is important that you work on a relationship with the children, so they feel safe with you, and they can develop themselves optimally! I am creative, love the outdoor and will always thinks of different activities to offer them! I am also very flexible and will try to think with the family to see what suits them best. Next to this I will have my own car.
