My name is Victoria. I am 25 and living in Rowlands Gill I have gained my higher Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning/Teaching Assistant. I have experience volunteering as a teaching assistant in a primary school and I love every second of it. I have always been excellent with children and all aspects of caring for them, so I always knew I wanted to become a teacher. I understand what is important when it comes to caring for a child- helping with homework, teaching them new skills, making sure they're having fun, making sure they're clean and tidy at all times, feeding them the correct food and drinks, and providing nap times, and just general routines.
I am very outgoing and fun, so the child will never be bored. I will be new to working as a nanny/babysitter, but I have learned many skills whilst studying and volunteering in schools. There are also a lot of young children in my family, me being the oldest. I babysit a lot! I have my own car so travelling at any time of the day is no problem.
I currently work for a single father whose wife passed away a year ago, helping take care of his two children. The little girl is 6 and the boy is 9. I do everything around the house, as well as take them to school, pick them up, cook dinner, help with homework, bath them, and put them to bed. I then come back at 7 am the next day to start it over again. It was a temporary post to help the father out after his loss, and it will be coming to an end very soon.
I took three months put last year to work as a nanny in Italy for a lovely family with two little girls also. I certainly learned a lot!
