Hi, my name is Charlotte and I love working with children.
I have an NVQ level 2 in Childcare gained through an apprenticeship in a school nursery and have recently been working at nurseries in St Leonards and Tunbridge Wells. However, my real passion is to become a Nanny and would welcome any offers of work.
I have completed full safeguarding and first aid training and am therefore alert to health and safety requirements having put this in to practice. I have a full DBS check from my last nursery.
I have a working knowledge of the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) and experience of putting this in to practice. I am alert and responsive to the needs of the child whatever age.
I particularly enjoy hands on activities eg. art projects, cooking, learning through play, - generally getting messy and having fun! I also enjoy singing and using this as part of learning.
I have varied interests and hobbies. I was a Scout up to Explorer Scout level and I am now training to be a young leader, currently working with the Cub Pack. I was awarded the Chief Scout Gold Award in 2009 and I obtained my Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award in 2012 which I took in conjunction with my school.
I enjoy singing and have been part of various signing groups. I really enjoy watching films and listening to music and I also like performing and watching magic because of the way it amazes people. I am an active member of my local Methodist Church and was one of the instigators of our ‘Messy Church’ which is specifically for children and young people and which is now a thriving part of our outreach.
Over the years I have struggled with dyslexia but I have developed coping strategies to get over some of the difficulties that this brings.
