Bethany, foreign au pair - TS4 Middlesbrough

Hello, my name is Bethany and I'm a student, a big sister and a carer. I'm currently undertaking my A-Level examinations, however, I do not study at a college, I do all of my work at home giving me lots of free time. I grew up looking after my three younger sisters, my mum has a full time job, so I was then required to look after them and undertake duties such as cooking, taking them out and helping them with homework. As my sisters are now all in full-time education, I have had the wonderful opportunity to work with other families.

I am looking for full time childcare, part time child care or babysitting. I am also open to living with a family and helping out. Different families have different requirements and expectations of the carer of their child(ren), and I go above and beyond to meet the demands expected. I'm a good listener, I'm not harsh tempered and I'm very good at following instructions. I think one of the most important aspects of the relationship is mutual respect and for a good relationship between the child(ren) and myself. I am very comfortable when it comes to talking to children and responding to their needs.

In previous babysitting and nannying situations I have always tried to emphasise the fun factor. I have created word searches, played many games of Simon Says and took children out for trips. If course, the individual needs of the child get taken into account, so any preferences can always be discussed.
