i have completed a nvq level 2 in health and social care, nvq 2 supporting teaching and learning in schools. i am flexible and willing to accept work which is available. im paediatric ist aid trained which ive recently completed in dec 2014 through the oxford college( awaiting the certificate). i have looked after my 9 year old nephew since he was a baby, so im aware of care involved in keeping children safe and well, including if any accidents/incidents occur, keeping children entertained with outdoor activities such as trips to the park, swimming, cinema. feeding babies and children ensuring food is suitable for their age group. Im good at arts and crafts as ive made various items with my nephew. ive helped work colleagues set up a classroom at the start of the day and helped clear up afterwards which included painting resources. ive participated in classroom activities with interaction with children such as science projects, reading, writing and numeracy. ive also put together a display with the children which was put on the classroom wall for all children, teachers to see. i have worked in various nurseries through a agency where i gained experience working with various age groups. i supported children with snack time, play time and outdoor play. i am a 40 year old woman who has a geniune interest in the welfare of children and i would like a career in childcare. im prepared to attend training/ courses which are relevant to this rewarding career. im a very patient and understanding person which i have developed over the years in the care profession, as sometimes can work in difficult situations such as minor incident, behavioural difficulties, where i remained calm and professinal at all times.
