Hi there, I am a 3rd year university of wolverhampton student looking for part/full-time work with a family. I commend myself on being a flexible, trustworthy, reliable and punctual person.
I am currently studying B ED Childhood and Family studies and Educational studies at the university of Wolverhampton (Walsall campus). I thoroughly enjoy my course and would love to pursue a career working with children and families. I have a lot of experience as I have worked in a pre-school/playgroup with ages 2-4 years, key stage one in a primary school 5- 8 years and 0-2 years in a local nursery; which has resulted in gaining experience in all ages. All children seem to warm to me very easily, which I feel is a gift of mine. I see myself as a fun and playful person but take the role of caring for children very serious. I do hold a valid drivers license and car. I am flexible due to my university degree and I try fit myself around the family as much as possible. I am extremely enthusiastic about working with children as I feel it is a rewarding and enjoyable experience. I also commend myself on being a ‘on call nanny’ or ‘emergency Nanny’. Therefore I am available for emergencies or last minute requests for working hours, I do not charge extra for late nights or any overtime.
Due to the specifics of my experience working with children and my university course I am extremely familiar with the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage). As I have done for my previous family I worked in assistance with the parents to plan for opportunities towards their child(s) learning and development. Some examples of these activities are for a small activity of painting for a 18- 24 month year old, whereby I would set up the environment, teaching the child how to hold the paint brush encouraging the tripod grasp (physical development milestone- fine motor skills) also encouraging finger painting and the mixing of colours. By doing this activity I would also be encouraging their cognitive and language developmental milestones of naming different colours and recognising which ones are which (other examples available upon request). I would be willing to provide these opportunities for other families if applicable within the family lifestyle.

The reasons for my pay grading are my 3 years experience as a nanny with one particular family, educated with professional CACHE level 3 diploma in Childhood and Education (grade A) and currently in 3rd year of university studying a BA in Childhood, Family and Education studies. However I also have 5 years experience working with children in various childcare settings.
