I am a punctual, reliable, enthusiastic, hardworking, responsible and well-mannered individual, with experience and interest in children and their development. A fun person who is emotionally mature and possess high energy levels and an ability to develop close relationships with both children and families. Possessing excellent communication skills and able to relate well with people at all levels and converse in a polite and courteous manner. Able to work to an excellent standard under considerable pressure whilst presenting a positive image to others.
I am keen to find a position within a responsible employer where I will be able to continue to increase my work experience & develop my abilities.
I enjoy my voluntary work and going out with my friends. I am interested in a career which involves children, also children and young adults with special needs and disabilities.

VOLUNTEERING
Focus Youth Project- feb2010-present
I am also currently volunteering one night of the week at focus where I help young people with special needs and disabilities. I do activities with the young people which include arts and crafts, play pool, football, cooking, trying to use all the facilities at the centre.
Violets Son-Rise Programme- sept2011-sept2012
Volunteering up to 6-8 hours a week with a 5 year old non/low verbal autistic child on a one to one basis in her home, when I volunteered with her she was doing the son-rise programme.
The Son-Rise Program is an alternative autism treatment based upon the idea that the child show us the way in, and then we show them the way out, rather than trying for force the child to conform to a world that they don't yet understand, we join them in their world first.
KEY SKILLS
Confident and imaginative with constructive play and age appropriate activities. A driver with full clean license and own car. Proactive, very creative and have fantastic ideas to keep children occupied.

Level 2 award in youth support work with youth connexions.
