Leanne, home childcare - GL2 Hardwicke

Hi,

After working my way up the ladder in restaurant management, which is rewarding, but essentially, is not my passion - I have now decided to pursue a career in childcare.

I have spent all my life being involved with and responsible for children on some level. Whether this is caring for my god daughter, who due to family circumstances I am exceptionally close with, or leading and organising children's dance classes, or as I am now - helping a mother handle 2 energetic young boys and a baby (turning toddler!)

I'm so often told I have a natural energy for children and a connection with some that usually would be shy and reserved. Im looking to fullfill a space in me that wants to have a positive impact on not only a Childs life but to really help a family day to day as well. I love getting stuck in - whether this is taking the children on days out, doing homework and guiding them through problems, cleaning the house, changing nappies or doing bath time!

So, thats me. On paper I do not hold a DBS check or childcare qualifications yet - unfortunately I've not had the time to obtain this due to my work and management career. They are things that I would aim to achieve promptly however. I do hold relevant qualifications such as First Aid training, Food safety, Health and Hygiene certificates. Oh, and I've plenty of children entertainment certificates from courses! I also hold a full driving license and my own car.
