Alex, home childcare - GU31 Petersfield

Hello my name's Alex . I have been working as a nanny for the last two years . I have written a brief description of my past experiences down below.

Experiences:
Nanny/Housekeeper- January 2017-August 2017 (family moved country)
This was a shared position with mum. On a daily basis I helped mum to get the children ready for school, take them to school and then help mum around the house e.g. doing the food shop, sorting the laundry and tidying the children's bedrooms. I would also prepare the evening meals for the boys.

Nanny/Housekeeper - September 2015- January 2017
I had many responsibilities within this role. On a daily basis I took the children to and collected them from school and nursery. In the holiday months, I planed activities that encouraged the children to learn and develop whilst having fun. I planned play dates with other children and often took the children to outdoor parks and adventure walks. During the day I would do the laundry and prepare snacks and lunches for the children before making tea for the whole family. Whilst the children were at school, I completed household chores e.g going to the dry cleaners, sorting and tidying the boys play room, bedrooms including changing the beds and making them. I like to be organised so I would sort clothes and school bags ready for the next day.

Toadhall Nursery - Room Leader - April 2013- September 2015
I was the Room Leader for the older toddler's room (2-3 years). I have worked with babies from the age of three months up until they are 20 months old. I have had experience with all other age groups during my years at the nursery having spent time with children aged two to five years.

My Skills:
• An understanding of what healthy and balanced meals to provide for a child.
• I enjoy cleaning and making sure toys, bottles and general everyday objects and cleaned on a regular basis.
• Organised and having a plan of activities I want to do throughout the day.
• I enjoy being creative and like to do lots of messy and sensory activities e.g. custard and jelly play.
• Very reliable and friendly.

What I enjoy outside of work:
I enjoy walking and have completed many charity walks throughout the country. I enjoy being outside and love going on walks with the dogs. I also enjoy photography taking pictures of landscapes and animals and have also been able to experience photographing people’s special days including weddings and newborn shoots. I have completed a diploma in Photography and I am now hoping to start a online course about reflexology as I really enjoy learning about it. I enjoy spending time putting all the pictures I have taken from my adventures and turning them into a scrapbook.
