Hello All,
My name is Jess and I'm 19 years old.
For as long as I can remember I have wanted to work in Childcare, but due to a personal situation I didn't pursue it.
I have no 'official experience' but have a lot of family/friends experience. I have done a lot of babysitting for cousins, neighbours children but mostly my siblings. For at least 6 years I looking after my siblings on a daily basis, the reasons behind this can be discussed if you wish. This started when I was 9 and continued as my parents had more children. I was doing this whilst trying to complete school and trying to have a childhood myself.
My daily tasks included getting them ready for school, cooking for them, bathing them, cleaning the house and doing laundry. I also helped with homework and kept them entertained whether this was by taking them to the park, watching films, making cakes or painting.
I also have experience in children with autism ADHD and learning difficulties.
I do have an enhanced DBS and First Aid trained. I also did 2 weeks work experience in a nursery.
Occasional babysitting | $7.00 per hour |
Home nanny | $12.00 per hour |
The reason for different rates is if i'm babysitting I can keep my current job and do both, but if I started full time caring I would still need to make a living and be able to pay my bills.
Jess can provide references from recent employers
