Hi my name is Beth, I am 18 years old and will be turning 19 years old on 5/9/2016. I live on Garden Village. I am a mature young adult who has in depth knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage requirements. I have volunteered at Gillshill Primary School for two years working with the age range of 4-7 years where I constructed phonic and numeracy sessions daily working with small groups and individuals. I recently completed the phonic screening tests with the year one children and regularly take part in guided reading and working together with the classroom staff to build on team skills and when using effective communication we manage to enhance the children's development to the best of our ability. I have volunteered at Tillymints Pre-School, Happy Kids and Little Learners working with the age range of 0-3 years where I took part in responsibility for various age ranges and adapting activities to suit the correct age range. I took part in many care routines too throughout my time in the setting. I have recently been a nanny for a little girl of 8 months old too where I have sole responsibility and enjoy planning my day with the use of various activities supporting physical social, emotional and intellectual development. During all of my volunteering and nannying time I love to take part in adventurous activities and I believe children learn through exploration therefore all activities I plan are with child initiated intentions . Caring for children is always something I have paid severe interest in throughout my current working life. I am a young responsible adult, I have a relevant dbs check, level 1 safeguarding certificate and I am a qualified level 3 early years practitioner. I am confident with all ages and have a built up portfolio of two years for you to see if you wish. If you have anymore questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
