My name is Marta . I am 56 years old. I am a British Citizen. I was born in Budapest, Hungary. I have recently moved to Edinburgh with my husband. I am a qualified teacher and have worked as a teacher of English in five different countries. In my most recent job in India, I worked as an English teacher and carer for the Salaam Baalak Trust in New Delhi. The trust houses and educates street and working children aged 2 to 18. I have worked with children and young adults for over 24 years and although I am not planning to carry on teaching in schools, I would definitely love to continue looking after children. I am calm, very patient, fun loving and energetic. I am excellent at making learning and play exciting and fun. Through the years of my teaching career I have learned a lot about looking after children responsibly in a way which makes them feel content, safe and happy. I am not just an experienced teacher but a mother of two grown-up girls and a caring individual who thoroughly enjoys spending time with young children.

Marta worked as an English language teacher in my team. The work was high pressure and often stressful but Marta was always calm and cheerful. She is 100% reliable and extremely conscientious about her work. Her lessons were student centered and she showed a caring and responsible attitude to her students' learning and development. Her diligent and hard work was evidenced by her students obvious progression. She was popular with both students and fellow teachers, mainly because of her generosity with her time, her willingness to help others and her cheerful and positive attitude. She works hard and does an excellent job and would be an asset to any team.
