Hi I have 3 children all of whom are grown up. My older two left the nest quite a while ago, as they were from my first marriage and there is quite a gap between them and their younger brother.
I adore children of all ages, especially babies and toddlers. Don't get me wrong I love all of them, but the younger they are the more they need you and I love cuddles. I miss cuddles from my 3 boys (all of which were mummy boys) and would love to care for someone else's children. My older sons (the eldest one is 39 in October; the middle one is 36 in October and the youngest one is 22 in October) show no interest in having children, they are career driven. I think my youngest son will make me a Grandma before the other 2 do.
I have endless patience and enjoy doing activities with children, anything from colouring to long walks and exploring nature, seeing caterpillars up close, etc. I love to see a child progress in their talking; walking, etc, and encourage their development. I will never forget the first time each of my children walked, talked, got their first tooth, etc. I love receiving cuddles and giving them. Children should be encouraged to progress to the best of their abilities.
Hop scotch comes to mind; Jenga is a personal favourite of mine and it can encourage patience and agility in a child. I also love to bake with children. My mother did the same with my children and it is a tradition I have carried on. Children need to be praised and sometimes a stern word when it is absolutely necessary. Children respond to encouragement always.
Trips to the park, shops, can be an adventure for a child and it is the way you approach each activity that makes the difference.
I have a full clean driving licence and would love to take them out on little adventures.
Occasional babysitting | $9.00 per hour |
Partial / after-school care | $8.50 per hour |
My rate for babysitting is £9.00 an hour, which I think is quite competitive as there is my travel to the children's home and back.
Part time care is £8.50 an hour as this again involves my travel to their home and back again.
Full time care is also £8.50 an hour as not only would they be employing someone to look after their children and help with homework, etc, but I am more than willing to help with household chores and you can get £8.50 an hour just for cleaning.
