Alison, home childcare in Hethersett

My name is Alison I am 48 and I live in Hethersett with my 17 year old son and our dog Mabel.
I am looking for a live out nannying position with a friendly family; ideally around 30 hours a week.
I have worked with children since the age of 14. First as a babysitter and then nannying throughout my school and university years; including time as a live in nanny in America.
I went to university in Strawberry Hill, West London and studied an English and primary education degree and then returned to Norfolk where I have remained ever since.
After a few years of working in office based roles I decided to apply for teacher training PGCE course at the UEA in Norwich.
Once qualified I taught in a variety of schools across Norfolk for the next 10 years; mainly in the early years. During this time I was lucky enough to become a mum to my son Freddie.
Due to personal circumstances I then decided to become a childminder so that I could work from home while my son was young. I built a successful business over the following 5 years and worked with lots of lovely families many of whom I still keep in touch with today.
Once my son became older and more independent I chose to return to work in schools. However; I have decided that I would like to use my extensive experience to support a family with young children. I love caring for and supporting children’s development. I am friendly and fun and enjoy being active. I can be flexible with the days/hours that I work and I am willing to take on some light house keeping duties.
