Hello! My name is Abi, I am single, I'm young, energetic, and always up to a good challenge. Especially when it comes to bringing up children, and caring for them. I'm very lively, have a brilliant sense of humour, I am a christian, and am most importantly responsible and mindful. I am from a fairly wealthy background, and have high moral standards. That isn't bragging, because I am one of the most humble people you will meet! I am well spoken, and forbid bad language around children. That didn't need to be said really!
Where to start...! Right! I am the kind of person who will really listen to your children, and respond to their needs straight away, within reason. I studied Australian early childhood, and passed exams. I have a DBS certificate, and plenty of people I can ask to write how I deal with their children. I will listen to the parents, and hear how they usually discipline their children. However, if you use physical force as a discipline, I absolutely 100% hate that. It may be reported.
On a happier note, children are only children once. They need to play! They need to interact! They need to learn! Children learn new things every second of the day, and I love to show them new things that are of interest to their age group. I play games, I jazz up education to make it really fun and something the child will remember. I'm very artistic, and creative, and live to get my hands dirty with the kids. Painting, drawing, planting flowers, going to the park, and playing games that young kids love is my thing!
As a childcarer, I usually offer from 10am-5pm as my hours of work. I do not have a driving licence, but I'm happy to catch a bus to come along and help!! I am flexible on these hours.
I can bring healthy snacks to the table for your kids, but I'm not a pro cook!! I do enjoy food presentation, and do a lot of work for people that are hosting events. Can send you photos of some of the food platters I have done over the years at request. I have become a pro at how to keep children in routine, hygiene of children, hygiene of surroundings (cleaning is a favorite of mine!), and have been trained on how to bathe children properly. I can also change nappies, and have helped out a lady with toilet training.
Most of all, the children have to be the ones that love their nanny. I think that's very very important, otherwise it will make their lives unnecessarily difficult. Normally, me and children click straight away! They light up when they see me. Which is a great thrill.
