My name is Sára Horváth and I am 19 years old. I came from Békéscsaba, which is a small town in Hungary, to work before the university starts because I would like to earn the money for the accomodation to help my parents. I have a great family and my parents and two younger siblings do everything what they can to help me but I need to work to make ends meet. Hopefully I will go to Lancaster University in October and I will study Sociology, English Literature and maybe Theatre.
I have been planning to study abroad after graduation for years. I feel it is a great opportunity to improve my language skills and broaden my horizons. I like meeting new people and facing new challenges, which shape my personality, and my perception of the world.
I always liked going to school and study something new every day especially about Literature, History and English and be with my firends. To me it is important to broaden my knowledge, to become more intelligent and accomplished. I am hardworking and try to do my best all the time and thanks to that I did well during my final year exams and I passed with an overall grade 4.8 in my High School Diploma.
When I do not have to study or work I spend most of my free time reading. Thanks to the books I can always learn something new, they form my way of thinking. My other hobby is the theatre. In my opinion it has got a special atmospehere. I have been a passionate theatre-goer since my childhood. I admire actors, actresses and writers who can grasp the audience.
Therefore I am very grateful that I could work at the local theatre in the afternoons and in the evenings several times a week in my final year of Secondary School. It was one of the best experiences of my life because I had felt I do something useful. I loved the environment and the people whom I worked with. Besides theatre I had several types of jobs which thought me how to be unwavering.
Moreover I also did some charity work. My mother is a social worker and I have had several opportunities to do voluntary work at her workplace, when there were food distributions and I also helped in a kindergarten and I really loved it. I enjoyed these tasks because I could help and please the people in need and learned a lot about patience and love.
