Hi I'm Gerardine, and I'm 55
I was an Au Pair in my late teens early twenties both live in and daily.
Sine then I have had varied employment mostly office based in various industries including healthcare and banking. My most recent being in a contact centre for TSB Bank where I was unable to fulfil my contract after 5 years due to dysphonia (overuse of voice).
When my marriage broke up 21 years ago I had 2 children David who was 3 and Olivia 2 and at the time they dictated the work and hours I was able to do. As they always come first.
I enjoyed their childhood playing board games, seasonal activities like painting eggs at easter picnics even in the cold. I particularly enjoyed bedtime stories.
I am in the process of selling my house as both children have left home now. It has been an emotional time. I have so many memories in boxes, pictures, letters, photographs etc of very happy times.
I consider myself a young 55 year old still own a pushbike and love gardening and walking. I did think maybe I would be enjoying grandparent hood however David and partner gave 2 cats and Olivia and partner have 2 puppies.
I am very much a people's person of a cheery disposition. My glass is always half full and mature enough to make my own decisions. I am very trustworthy which I am aware is of upmost importance. I worked as a care coordinator where I had approximately 30 carers and 250 service users who depended on me delivering an excellent care service. I believe as in healthcare and banking Confidentiality and security are as important in childcare.
I don't have any certificates regarding childcare. I have 2 happy children. A son with a Spanish degree and a daughter who is a district nurse.
I believe I did a good job.
My options are open regarding full or part time.
Babysitting may be unsociable hours
Part time needs to cover travelling costs
All rates are negotiable
