Laura, home childcare in Pontefract

My name is Laura, I am a fully qualified nursery nurse and have worked since being 16 in a variety of roles including sen support worker and deputy manager. I am looking to develop my career and become a nanny. Being able to help others especially children and families is very important to me. I take pride in children's achievements and this is where i gain my rewards. Children are all fantastic, individual and unique. I excel at bringing out the best in children and simple allow them to have fun but learning as well.
I am an active person, I enjoy being outdoors and exploring different environments, allowing children to use their imagination and going on adventures. I am also very creative, I enjoy messy play activities and being experimental, learning through trial and error and allowing children to find out how things work for themselves.
With this in mind I am also very professional, I understand the need for working on my own initiative but also with parents too. Children also need some structure and boundaries set in place, but i pride my self on allowing children to learn life skills when younger, to help make choices, to be involved with their learning which helps create their personalities.
I am looking for families who need help with their children and who would not mind my two year old being present. He is very well developed for his age and enjoys the company of others. I believe I would suit a role with similar aged children or single child families as the child would gain social skills as well as others.
I do not see looking after children as a job, it is a way of life for me and as children are not 9-5, I am open to working any hours any days, as children's learning and development never stops even in sleep.
