Becky, home childcare in Silsden

Hello,
My name is Becky and I live in Silsden. I have just finished university and I have qualified as an Early Years Teacher. In September I am going to do supply teaching for a few months to gain more experience in different schools.
I have an undergraduate degree in BA (hons) Early Years, which I completed at Leeds Trinity University. From finishing this degree I worked in a private day nursery for 3 years. I began in the toddler room (2-3 years) and after 6 months I became the Room Leader of the toddler room. After 18 months, a position became available in the out of school club for a room leader. I applied for this job because I needed to gain more experience with school aged children (4-11 years old) to be able to complete my PGCE. After working there for a year I left to attend university full time.
I worked abroad for 6 months, working in a kids club and creche in a hotel run by Thomson. My responsibilities were to ensure all the children were safe whilst in our care and we would create different games/ activities throughout the day for all children aged 0-11 to enjoy. In the evening we would help the entertainment team run the children's disco and play lots of games where the children could win prizes.

I have mainly worked with children aged 0-5 but I am happy to work with older children up to 11 years old.

When working with children I always try to find out their interests and then set up lots of activities they will enjoy. I like taking children outside as I believe children learn more through the outdoors and it helps develop their confidence. As long as the children as dressed suitably I will always take them outside even if it is raining! I have a great personality and I am always happy and smiling. I am not afraid to be silly with the children. I would like to thank you for looking at my application and I hope you consider me for the job you have available.
