Sophie, home childcare in York

Hi. My name is Sophie. I am a qualified early childhood teacher in York. I have moved over here from New Zealand 6 months ago. I am on a five year ancestral visa.

I have experience of working and caring for children aged 3 months to 3 years. Worked in a child care setting for the past 2.5 years in New Zeland caring for the children between the hours of 7 and 6:30. I am currently looking for work to nanny for children in this age bracket. I have a driving permit valid until September where after that date I can apply for a UK license.

I am a caring, gentle and patient person who loves to have a laugh. I love to be part of children's growth and development and helping them to reach their full potential.

I am inspired by the Reggio and Pickler approach of care which is about respect to children and giving them time to develop in their own individual ways.

I enjoy getting messy with the children and getting out and about. Like going for walks or simply taking the children for grocery shops. So much valuable lessons in this.
