I am an efficient and self-motivated individual with many years of experience working with children in a childcare and preschool setting. I am a kind and patient person and I get on well with all ages of children. Working and being with children has been something I have loved since I was very young. I have a flexible approach to work and am always willing to take on new responsibilities and training opportunities.

When I was a teenager I looked after for my younger siblings and my cousins. At school I had several work-experience placements at primary schools and playgroups.

Since leaving school I have been employed in a preschool and at a nursery where I was responsible for:
• Looking after children aged 2 - 9 within the breakfast club, pre-school and after school club
• Picking up and dropping off children from school
• Supervising the arts and crafts as well as outdoor activities
• Serving children healthy snacks
• Helping children to learn numeracy skills through activities like counting games
• Reading stories to children
• Making sure the children are safe and well at all times
• Attending training days and staff meetings

I have had training in first aid, safeguarding children, food safety, and observing children.

I would love the opportunity to work with children of any age and to be able to help with their care.
