Alice, home childcare - LL29 Old colwyn

Hi there, my name is Alice and I am 24. I graduated from Bangor university in 2013 with a degree in primary education, I'm qualified to teach from age 3 all the way up to 11.

After gaining experience as a supply teacher around Nottingham and Cambridge, I finally settled in a full time position in a lovely nursery working with age 0 to 5. This is where I realised my passion for working with pre primary age (especially the under2s). Unfortunately, due to my partner's work, I've had to leave the nursery behind and move to North Wales. I'm hoping to secure a nannying job here that allows me to utilise my training in early years in a setting where I can develop close bonds with those I work with.

I'm looking for a position that would ideally have a 1 or 2 under 5s to care for. I have a full clean driving license and my own car and would be more than happy to drop at nursery if necessary.

I'm a huge animal lover (and hope to own my own golden retriever someday) so if you have dogs, cats, horses, chickens etc they are all added bonuses!

In any teaching observations that I have undergone during my time working in schools, my colleagues have all commented on how calm I am with the children in the classes. I'm a strong believer in positive reinforcemet and believe all children are more than capable, you just have to unlock the path their mind prefers to take to get them there. There's nothing better than seeing a child reach their goal and feel over the moon with themselves. This is why I love my job!
