Children have always been a joy to me, far more than a profession. To be able to care and nurture a child is not only a blessing but a privilege. As a charismatic and energetic individual I find working with children a dream. I abide by strict principles of discipline and respect combined with love and care. Educational tutoring and physical activities are exercises I always love to execute for the self-development of the child. Due to my profession I am constantly surrounded by children. To be able to watch them grow and mature as individuals is the greatest reward and honour a nanny can receive.
The past two years I have worked as the Senior Instructor of Gosforth Karate Club, teaching over 60 children aged 4 - 14 self defence and Shotokan Karate. It has been my greatest joy to watch the rapid effect my discipline and planned exercises have had on the children's individual and physical development. With my teaching a child with great social anxiety, is now a blue belt in karate and our most sociable ambassador for the club, always befriending new students. Furthermore, it has been amazing to witness how my demand for respect and focus reflects upon the children's school and home life. Many satisfied parents frequently praise how their child's focus and grades have improved in school due to the disciplines of my teaching. My favourite aspect of the job is having the freedom to plan creative activities with the children. Designing fun and imaginative ways for children to burn off the their energy never gets old.
Furthermore, the past year I have been a nanny for a beautiful newborn who has now just turned one. I helped prepare healthy meals, plan activities, do the household shopping, bath and dress the child. It has been such a privilege to help this newborn develop into a very intelligent individual (for her age). It fills me with such pride to support this single mother in achieving the best possible relationship with her child. With my support the child now has basic communication, can use cutlery and walk with assistance. Her progression is one of my proudest achievements and experiences to date.
Additionally, I am a rock climbing instructor. I teach children aged 7+ to climb indoors at Gosforth Academy. It is such a great achievement to develop a trusting relationship with each and every child. Obviously health and safety is a major part of this profession, so rest assured your child is in safe in my hands.
