Emma, home childcare in Pelsall

I am 18 years of age and have recently finished a level 3 child care course at Walsall college. I am looking at different types of care such as babysitting and part time care. I have recently finished a years placement in a primary school nursery working with children aged 3 to 4 and also have further experience with friends and family from the age of birth to 10. When I was working in the nursery there were several observations that I did with the children including learning ability such as speech, reading, arithmetic, this was to help with the children's development. I have also planned activities such as arts, crafts, making and using ginger bread men to stimulate responses through using numbers and letters as well as asking the children to draw pictures and then talk about them, helping them to learn, making sure they enjoyed it as well. I also encouraged the children to understand special calendar events such as pancake day through supervising cooking activities.
