ME:
I am a very responsible, outgoing and enthusiastic person with interest and experience in looking after children and their development. I am a confident and pro-active child carer who possesses high energy levels and the ability to develop close relationships with both children and families. I possess excellent communication and inter-personal skills and can relate well with people at all levels. I am able to work to first-rate standards under considerable pressure whilst presenting a positive image and being a role model to children. I listen carefully and follow directions well, being skilled in creating schedules and following commitments. I have a passion for encouraging learning in every child and adore spending time and helping children.

WORK EXPERIENCE:
Although I have no formal work experience at an agency, I have experience in:
• Being responsible for the safety, wellbeing, care and development of young children
• Providing supervision and constant care to children
• Providing healthy meals and snacks for the children
• Washing and bathing children as well as changing nappies
• Being disciplined with the children when required
• Helping children with after-school activities like homework
• Stimulating children to read and be active
• Playing with the children and taking them out
• Tidying up children's bedrooms and play areas
• General housekeeping duties like cleaning, washing up and ironing
• Planning and organising age related activities
• Attending any medical appointments or social events with the children
• Reading to and with the children
• Getting children ready in the morning and then taking them to school
• Experience of assisting first time mothers on maternity leave

I have gained this experience through not only having been raised in a large family with 3 older and 4 younger siblings but also having looked after multiple aged children in different families. I supervised children when parents went out in the evenings, for appointments, on day trips and weekend getaways. I always maintained a child-friendly environment with engaging activities and continuous access to the outdoors. I really enjoyed sparking creativity and imagination by helping the children discover new things each day.
