Michelle, home childcare - S44 Calow

I'm Michelle {mainly known as Shell} i'm a 26 year old female, from Chesterfield i'am very close to Sheffield.
I first started working life in Childcare in 2005 when i left school as i did a modern apprenticeship in a Day Nursery providing care for Children aged 3 months to 5 years. I worked with all the age ranges in each room over the years. I gained a lot of experience working with Children with Autism/Additional Needs during my 6 years working in the Nursery. Once it'd built up enough experience i began searching for a new job as a Nanny, from being young i'd wanted to be a Nanny. I found a good very quickly and became a Nanny for 3 children aged 1, 5 & 7. During my 2 years with the family i provided childcare at home for their youngest child and ensured the elder 2 children got to and from school safely. Either myself driving them there or putting them on & off the school bus. I attended local groups suitable to the youngest child's needs and abilities. It was within my job role to maintain a high level of cleanliness in the children's bedrooms & in the area's we'd used. I also cooked the healthy meals. I carried out a lot of weekend/over night childcare. I also had light duties in looking after their dogs.
I had a 1 year contract working on a Children's ward at a local Hospital. I provided stimulating activities for children to achieve their targets. I also helped the children master and cope with anxieties and feelings when coming into Hospital. It was within my role to work in a specialist nursery for Children with autism. In this role i was a key worker for 2 child per session, working closely with their occupational therapist & speech and language specialists etc.
I'am now back being a Nanny for a lovely family with 3 children, 1 boy & twins. I've expanded my knowledge & experience while looking after twins. I walk the eldest child to and from school. I have sole care of the twins during the day, we attend groups & have lots of fun! I'am responsible for all the children's laundry & to keep their bedrooms & play room tidy. I provide all means ensuring the children get their 7 a day.
I'am very much a fun loving Nanny, i love to be very involved when it comes to play time. I like to do a variety of activities, from messy to play to exploring outside. I carry out a lot of child lead activities. But always making sure homework etc is completed where applicable. I'am very flexible and happy to to fit around parents & routines etc.
I have my own car. I hold a full CRB certificate & a First aid certificate. I've been on a number of training days, certificates available upon request.
