Emma, home childcare - SN9 Pewsey

I am NNEB qualified (1999) with 29 years experience of working with children in childcare settings such as day nurseries, nursery schools, primary schools and family homes. Prior to this I did much babysitting for neighbours children. Before gaining the NNEB I have a YTS certificate in community care and an adult education certificate in community care. I have experience of working with children from 0-10years from one child to four in the family home to larger groups in nurseries, schools and at parties. I have had both sole charge and shared care positions.

During this time I have planned age appropriate activities such as taking to the local parks, walks, bike rides, swimming, carried out art and craft, cooked with and for children, organised and carried out play dates, made and taken to health appointments, run errands, assisted with homework, researched the curriculum, taken to the library+activities run there, taken to 'little digger' activities at the garden centre, planned and hosted parties(themed birthday and Halloween).

I am currently working as a daily nanny for an army family near Andover, caring for their 7.6year old twin boys, who can be very challenging at times! They have lots of energy and spirit. I will be sorry to leave the family, but would like a position nearer to home, with one or more children at home. If you think you can help me please get in touch.
