I am a fun, enthusiastic and caring childcare practitioner with nearly 4 years’ experience in both nursery settings and home care. I have studied Children and Young People’s Workforce level 3 and I’m currently awaiting confirmation of completion of the course; expecting to receive my certificate early in 2017.
Within my experience I believe that it is important to develop a strong bond between parents, this will promote great communication which will benefit the child’s development. It is also very important to me that we listen to parents when forming a care plan for any child as no one knows the child better than their parents.
I am confident working as an individual and using my own initiative which I have demonstrated in previous positions.
I enjoy doing any activities with children and like to roll my sleeves up and get stuck into whatever we are doing; be it paint, gloop or mud. Throughout my experience I have learnt that singing activities are very beneficial to a child’s development and most children enjoy such activities; I really enjoy group signing activities where all the children can participate, even though I’m not the best singer.
I am very hardworking and strongly believe that if you want something in life you have to go out and work for it, with this I am willing to go on regular training courses to keep up to date with regular and current research and practices.
