I first nannied back in 1990 for a number of months, one child and she was a delightful 1-2 year old. I have had my own child, who's now 22 years old and my husband and I then wanted to use our empty house for good when he moved out so we went through the process of becoming foster carers. Two brothers were placed with us during 2013 for weekend respite care, 4 year old and 5 1/2 year old, they were great and it was really great to have them around and to get to know them. They were moved and sadly our respite care was no longer needed, shortly after this ended it was Christmas and then our Son and his girlfriend needed to move back home meaning we had to stop, but I miss taking care of little ones - helping them learn and grow. I don't have any formal qualifications except those from the ESCC Fostering Group but feel that with my life experience of my own family and close friends with small children I would be able to wholeheartedly become a positive addition to a family in need of extra support due to work commitments or whatever may come up for them.
