Kirsten, home childcare in Wallasey

My name is Kirsten, I am 22 years old and have wanted to work with children my whole life.

Just before my 13th birthday I began babysitting for a family and only stopped last year because the oldest child is now old enough to take over the babysitting duties herself. The youngest was born when I was 16 and I took care of him from 10 weeks and the oldest (now 16, 15 when I stopped) was around 6 years old and the middle child was two when I began so I have a vast age range of experience and have coped with the 3 children including cooking and cleaning and taking care of pets.

I do not drive as yet and I do not smoke, I currently work in a nursery so have a lot of experience with dealing with lots of children at the same time.

I am a hardworking, confident person, who is approachable, cheerful and possesses good observation skills as well as the ability to work alone or as part of a team. I have experience of working with children and have ensured that they are cared for in a happy, safe and stimulating environment. I have an enthusiastic attitude and work hard to ensure good practice is demonstrated across all areas of my work, from planning quality activities, to communicating with parents and liaising with other staff. I am currently looking for a suitable position with an ambitious and rewarding company that offers excellent opportunities for development and career progression
