I am a 40 year old certified child care specialist and qualified childminder (NVQ level 3 in children’s development) with over 5 years experience in working with children.
I would describe myself as a passionate nanny with a love for children. My interest in childcare has stemmed back many years, back in Poland I worked in a culture centre, where among helping with organisation of National Poetry Festival ( I am also a poet) I organised various activities for children, mainly such as arts and crafts.
I am also a photographic artist with BA from University of Westminster, which is considered the best and the most academic course in London with a strong emphasis on theory. I also exhibited internationally. Art and working with children is my passion and I find both very fulfilling. I like to keep my art independent without compromising it in order to make a living of it.
I have being living in London for 12 years. During this time I have been working with children, mainly as a nanny, and special needs nanny, also for a high profile families, but also as a childminder in private nursery (children 1 - 12) . I worked with children and young adults of various ages (6 months - 18 years old ) which has given me vast experience of children and their curriculum and curriculum aims. Such roles have required me to be patient, understanding and have the ability to tackle children’s needs and concerns with much sensitivity and calmness. Not only this but to keep children entertained at their age appropriate level it has been highly important for me to be a responsive thinker, have strong self motivation and enthusiasm in which to make learning interesting and fun. We all know children learn through play and I always make it fun.

In 2012 I completed an NVQ Level 3 Course in Children Learning and Development. The course can be completed only when already working with children (aged 0-16 years) and among others it teaches about their development, promoting positive relationships. I’ve also learned about how to develop and reflect on my own practice and how to protect and promote children’s rights. The qualification allows one to work as a classroom assistant, a pre- school supervisor, a family support worker, childminder or daycare supervisor. However I prefer to work as a nanny as I find it so much more fulfilling.

I'm sporty , I love swimming and gym.

I am a keen photographer and my other hobbies are poetry, painting and drawing so if you want you can have plenty of professional photographs of your children. I

I want to continue my artistic practice, but also wish to share my life experience and knowledge with others preparing them for their future lives/career. As an artistic person I love doing arts and craft with children believing that artistic process in its nature is therapeutic and for children, having this safe place to express themselves seem to be crucial. It teaches them creative thinking and problems solving as well as it boosts confidence. I see myself as one who gives them the tools and mostly important the encouragement to achieve the best they can.

I have been a DBS checked and excellent references are available from my current and previous employers. I have a 5 years extensive experience in child care. From my experience and qualifications I understand fully the importance of safety when taking care of children. I believe in a positive environment where children gain self-confidence through activities, games, and opportunities to be creative.
I always make sure, that children's activities are exiting and stimulating for them.
As a childcare specialist I understand that children learn throw play.
I had lots of autonomy in my last jobs with organizing activities – various playgroups (socializing ) , music and swimming classes, art and crafts, trips to library for story time and to get new books. I appreciate the importance of reading.
Everything I do is designed to promote the development of children to reach their full potential.
All within boundaries set by parents of course!
