Live in nanny - separate accommodation provided

Hello Nannies,

Thank you for taking the time to read our vacancy. We have now decided that a nanny is the best option but are still looking for a childminder possibly in the short term.

We are friendly, down to earth, professional family of three. My husband & I, have a son, he is on a superb routine, which has been structured to fit in with our family lifestyle. He currently fits into a 8-8 schedule & tends to sleep for around 2.5 hours between 1:00pm - 15/15:30pm. Most days, you will always have time to rest or catch up on any duties.

I am also pregnant with baby number two.

He is generally a happy & contented baby, who we have been very relaxed with since birth. He happily entertains himself for short periods of time & is quite happy being put down in his cot for nap times.

We are also relaxed when it comes to screen time, not that I have a clue with all these mod cons, (as long as other developmental activities are offered throughout the day) & are firm believers of not making anything a "treat" so it doesn't become something that they feel they are deprived of/need.

This will be our first nanny & are ideally looking for someone who is wanting to stay within a position long term as we value continuity, when our son is only little.

This will be a sole charge position, however there be the rare occasion that I am able to work from home, or have a morning off, in which case it would be nice for our nanny to be able to accommodate shared care.

Our working hours tend to be from 9am until 5pm, so we anticipate our nanny to work between 8-10 hours per day, earliest start being 8am & latest finish 6pm, however there may be times, we need 7-7, if something at work has cropped up.

It would also be nice if our nanny is happy to help with occasional babysitting, but we are happy to look for another sitter, should you be unavailable. This would be paid as extra.

The provided accommodation is a modern one bedroom flat, with parking. It is located 15 minutes away from our house & within the city centre. All bills will be covered by us.

We do require a driver as our family home is in a semi rural location & public transport is sparse. We will also provide a nanny car for when on duty. It is a 4x4, so we will be looking for a confident driver & someone with a clean & full license.

Our family home is spacious, with a large garden, including a heated swimming pool so it would be great to find a nanny who is inclined to take our son outside to play during the summer & is also a confident swimmer. We have a very friendly home hub, with family close by & would love our nanny to become part of our family.

In terms of the role, we have a housekeeper, so the nanny would only be responsible for nursery duties. We would appreciate a nanny with initiative, who may perhaps, spot the dishwasher has finished its cycle & can unload it. Nothing spectacular, just a few bits to help the day to day running of our household.

On a typical day, we would love our nanny to be outgoing & organise activities for our son to do within the local area, including parks, soft play, groups & classes. It would be great if you were happy to meet other nannies with similar aged children to arrange playdates with & encourage socialisation & development.

In terms of salary, we are looking to offer between £26, 000 - £30, 000 gross per year.

Our Requirements:
- Previous Nanny Experience Within Private Households, including sole charge
- Prior Experience of babies/toddlers
- Clean Driving Licence
- Clean Enhanced DBS
- Paediatric First Aid
- Knowledge of Local Area

Please get in touch with us, by sending a professional CV & ideally a cover note of why you feel this position is for you. Im not a tech savvy, lol, so apologise for the delay in writing this advert/getting back to anyone. Tend to find emails easier.

Thank You, Sal.
