Gemma, is looking for childcare in Rottingdean BN2 for the 5 October 2020

We’re Gemma and Simon and we have two little boys, Freddie 11mths and Oscar 2.5yrs.

Oscar is in full time nursery in Saltdean, Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm, and whilst Freddie is on the waitlist to start there, they cannot confirm when any places will come available.

Simon works full time (through lockdown has been working from home, but will be returning to London and commuting a couple of days very soon) and I am currently trying to get my new business off the ground, but this is proving somewhat difficult whilst also looking after Freddie full time. We’re therefore looking for a nanny to provide interim support until his nursery place comes up.

For that reason, I do only see this being a temporary position, however we are looking for someone to start ASAP and can offer 2-3 days of work per week, depending on your availability. I can also be flexible on the days, for me, it doesn’t need to be fixed each week, although happy of course to set something in place if preferable to you.

I’m only looking for you to take care of Freddie - there will be no housework involved - however I am very happy for you to spend time in the house and don’t want you to feel you need to be out all day with him.

Freddie is a delightful little boy (I’m sure all parents would tell you that though!). He has a straight forward routine, is a good eater, and is no trouble at all going down for his 2 naps a day.
We have lots of space at home and a lovely big garden, and there are some great walks for you to do locally down to the beach and round the village, so please don’t feel the need to fill your days with baby classes etc.

As long as Freddie is getting all the attention he needs, I don’t want you to feel you need to cram in lots of external activities. That said, if you did take him to any classes, I would of course cover these costs.
