We are a warm fun family of three. My partner and I have one daughter who is almost two-years old. We follow Montessori practices and believe in gentle parenting.
We work from home and require a nanny to support our daughter throughout the day (currently Tues-Friday but days could be flexible).
We see these duties as:
Creating a safe and stimulating environment for the child
Keeping the child’s environment clean and tidy, including the child in as many ‘living’ activities as possible (such as tidying and cleaning up after play or mealtimes etc).
Encourage the Child to do laundry, again allowing the Child to help with the tasks involved.
Planning healthy meals, preparing food, and supporting the Child to feed themselves.
Educational activities and crafts, including indoor and outdoor play
Reading, singing, dancing / fun physical play.
Bathing and dressing when necessary (and teaching elements of the tasks involved)
Changing nappies (and toilet-training, when age-appropriate)
COVID-19 specific: And, when it’s safe to do so;
Trips to the library
Attending group activities, and arranging/attending playdates and outings.
