We are looking for someone from January 2021 for c.30 hours a week. We live on the top of Staxton Hill (11 miles from Scarborough/ 13 miles from Driffield) . Our eldest son (Archie) is 3 years old and will be at nursery Monday- Thursday. Our youngest (Sam) will be 7 months.
We are looking for someone , from the start of January 2021, to look after Sam Monday-Thursday during the day and potentially Archie on the Friday and during school holidays. Because we're working from home we're relatively flexible on the hours but ideally it would be Monday to Thursday, 9am-5pm with the ability to work on Friday if needed.
Previous childcare experience is preferred but not essential. Must be first aid qualified or willing to do the course before January. Must be happy around animals as there will be dogs in the house.
Due to the remote location they will need to hold a full, clean, driving licence and be happy to drive the children. They will have the ability to use the family car when they are at the farm if needed.
They will be required to do age-related activities with Sam and Archie and be outdoors when the weather permits. They will also need to cook healthy and nutritious meals. They would need to be happy to play and read to them and keep them entertained. On occasions, they will need to get them ready for bath time/ bed at night.
Household duties will include emptying and loading the dishwasher, helping with the laundry/ironing and when ready folding and putting away, keeping the children's bedroom clean and tidy, keeping the kitchen and bathroom surfaces clean after use and tidying away toys at the end of the day. (We do have a cleaner so you will not be required to do any deep cleaning).
We both work from home but each week varies. Flexibility is very important as there may be more hours one day and less the next. However, we can guarantee a minimum of 30 hours per week.
The salary is £7 - £10 per hour depending on age and experience.
