Seeking nanny for care of one young child, potential for a nanny share with another child also

Nanny required to help care for baby James born in March 2017, with a flexible start date between May to early September as preferred by the Nanny. The role will be sole charge, working 10 - 12 hours per day (hours negotiable), Monday to Friday. There will also be the opportunity for the occasional, additional babysitting if desired. The newly developed modern family home is in the small picturesque village of Woldingham, within the Surrey Hills. A driver is preferable, although, the village train station is just 15 minutes away (0.8 miles), with direct links to and from London Victoria and London Bridge Stations. The family also employ a cleaner during the week.

The young and social family are looking for a professional, enthusiastic and caring nanny to become part of the family and care for James during the week, whilst they are both at work. The family would like the nanny to feel happy, motivated and empowered during this time, so will do all they can to support this.

James is a contented baby, and very entertaining. He loves to 'talk', to try to tell you about his day - which he loves to be varied. We thoroughly enjoy walks together, exploring all the trails the country has to offer, as well as nearby London. Even if we don't go out, he likes nothing better than to sit high up - being part of what's going on around him (joining in at meal times) and looking out of the window. Guilty of a little FOMO (fear of missing out!), when he's awake, he's very awake! But he does love his bedtime too and is already sleeping 6-8hrs through the night with a great grasp of light and dark and what that means (thank goodness!).

He likes to be a part of your day, and would love nothing more than to be taken out and about and to baby classes to keep things interesting. There is a local baby and toddler group within walking distance in the heart of the village, with lots of toys, tea/coffee and great company; and in the next villages of Caterham and Oxted there are numerous baby classes to choose from - from soft play and singing to massage and sensory, his parents would delighted for you to take him out and about.

In addition to attending to the physical needs of the baby, the family are especially keen to find a nanny who can support the early learning and development of baby James, and help establish and implement a steady routine for him. The role will also include typical nursery duties, and preparing healthy meals which will be most important when he starts weaning. Occasional holiday travel may be available if desirable.

The family are relaxed and flexible to needs as well as being new to parenting and welcome the input and support of the nanny.
