Freyja, is looking for part time childcare - BH23 Bransgore for the 1 November 2022

My name is Freyja and I work for the ambulance service in Dorset.

Currently, I have been away from work for just over a year with long Covid, but towards the end of this year, I should be able to start crawling back some hours and build up my strength to go back full time by the first quarter of next year.

I work shift patterns which I will know 6 weeks in advance.

I have two children and a husband 😊

My boy is 11 and will have his own transport to and from our home in Bransgore to go to a special school in Romsey. He has ASD, ADHD and dyspraxia. He has an EHCP also. He is a lovely boy who doesn’t like people shouting, swearing, or speaking to him as a baby. He wants to be a police officer and put ‘the bad people away that hurt others.'

My girl is 9 in October and goes to Sopley Primary school. She has a gentle temperament, loving and kind to animals. (she wants to be a marine biologist and save the planet)

I need someone reliable, kind-natured, and fun for my children who can do the Sopley school run morning and afternoon, and be here for when my son leaves and returns from school as he can not be left on his own in the house. He has limited understanding on road safety etc so doesn’t even go to the shops on his own.

Times of need (depending on my shift) will be between 6.30am to 6pm Mon-Fri.

My husband is usually home by 6pm Mon-Thursdays and is home Fridays currently.

We have had childcare in the past and many of the older ladies have been awful. They frightened my children, were rude, shouted, smoked or were just interested in the babies they were caring for. One just left her 13-year-old child looking after my kids when she went to see her own horse!

The only one that my children trust is a good friend of the family who now has a job and sadly can no longer help us.

I don’t know what to do. I don’t want to lose my job ☹
