Nick, is looking for part time childcare in Swansea for the 1 December 2021

We require a polite, professional and reliable person to be around my family for 6 to 12 months, provisionally, possibly longer.
Children are; two girls aged 10 and 13, and two boys aged 15 and 17, each with their own rooms. All reasonably 'self-sufficient' in their daily functions.
We have a small cocker spaniel also.
Tuesday night until Friday morning should be assumed as the benchmark at this time, with the possibility of residential support too whilst mum is absent. Mum does not live with us at this time, but mum and I are married but going through difficult times.
A bedroom can be made available, the parent downstairs master, for any such residency. Alterations or adaptations can be realised to suit a successful applicants needs.
Housework could be as minimum as it needs to be, or I would be happy to pay an elevated rate for more intensive housework / laundry / light shopping etc. I can out-source these things as required, but I would rather give one person control of these items. That would also mean more hours per week for a more permanent / worthwhile arrangement eg one which would / could be more mutually beneficial to all.
I could consider an arrangement for shift-sharing, but with no more than 2 consistent persons. One person to work long-term with my family would be my preference, for obvious reasons, which can be discussed accordingly. For completeness, we have never had a child care assistant / nanny etc work with this family previously, so any applicant would have to be able to 'find their feet' quickly, efficiently and sympathetically.

The minimum range of services I would require are;
Preparation of breakfast / evening meals / packed lunches.
Getting the children ready for school ( only assisting with hair, personal hygiene routines etc ). Checklist for PE / other 'kit' etc.
Administering medication ( reminders / supervision ) as required.
Unassisted bathing ( drying of youngest daughters hair ).
Changing children from uniform to casual clothing each day / directing them to put their spent clothes in their individual room laundry baskets.
Basic provision shopping / topping up of any items overlooked at the weekly shop. Can be done online and delivered etc.
Dishes in dishwasher.
Hoover over, plus other ( essential only ) daily 'light' cleaning, as is necessary.
Basic care for the family pets ( dog / tortoise / fish ). Children to help / undertake as much as is expected, assistance with reminders for the kids to do so mostly. Dog stays in the kitchen mostly, tiled floor, sometimes there are 'accidents' to deal with.
Associated basic daily childcare, support and management of routines.

I would, however, appreciate an offer for help with, ( paid work through additional hours of employment ), or would possibly otherwise out-source;
Complete laundry services, including washing and tumble-drying of clothes. Children's basic items only, smalls can be left for weekend parent wash etc. No adult clothes.
Ironing the following weeks school uniforms. Can be done after Thursday school pick-up ( at elevated hourly rate ) or during the day ( either Thursday or Friday ) including placing on hangers eg for the kids to take up and hang up in their rooms. Applicant can arrange to do this at their convenience / to suit their own scheduling. All children have minimum 5 days worth of uniforms, so ironing can be a one-sitting event, if easier.
Taking girls to various after school activities. Swimming lessons / trampoline parks / other basic fun or leisure outings etc.
Possible pick-ups and drop-offs at friends, midweek.
Deeper cleaning - bathrooms / kitchen as required. Can be out-sourced, but I am happy to pay extra hours / elevated rate for these tasks if so required / as appropriate.
Tutoring skills, eg to be able to fully help with homework / study.

That is a basic summary of my current requirements.

This position will go to someone who impresses me, engages initially with the children at the interview level. A full background check will be obligatory, plus an intense review of previous employment with any references being an advantage and which will be scrutinised to the fullest extent.
I wish for the applicant to be;
A full UK resident.
Fluent English speaking only, other languages possibly a help for school work.
Non-smoker preferred, but that can be discussed / managed possibly.
Younger to middle aged so 'in tune' with children of their ages.
Female applicant preferred as my youngest are girls. Can be discussed.
A competent driver, preferably with own vehicle sized to transport 4 children safely and comfortably. My vehicle could be made available. Clean, full license held for a minimum of 5 years with an acceptable driving history. License would need to be presented for scrutiny.al and reliab
