In the first instance, I'm looking for a part time, Ofsted registered, kind and competent Someone to look after my almost 18 month old daughter while I work. I am not specifying a nanny/babysitter/au pair/childminder simply because I'm unsure of the nomenclature. I AM specifying Ofsted registration because that is a DWP requirement to fund childcare through them..
Care can be either at your home or mine, but I would mostly be present, just on my laptop. Sometimes the setting will be an outing (and ideas for fun things to do are welcome here).
A driver's license/car isn't essential, just reliability.
Your main task would be to encourage her development through play. (Montessorians - by philosophy or training - are especially welcome in this.) There will be the usual nappy changes and feeding, but I'll not ask you to help with housework or anything unless it's particularly busy/chaotic, and even then only if you're able.
And, the final caveat, things may be chaotic in the coming weeks because I have a second daughter due any day now. If things go well, I may ask you to stick around for the new one as well.
But for now I need to work as hard as I can before the birth, and so I am hoping to find a lovely person to lessen the load.
