Shelley, is looking for a part time nanny in Tydd st mary for the 10 January 2022

Our son is five years old and is home educated (his other sibling who is now 16 was home educated for 10 years). He has never been to nursery or school and our plan is to continue home educating him for the foreseeable future.

He has additional needs including significant sensory processing difficulties, social and communication difficulties - though he is verbal and can be very articulate (undiagnosed possible autism and possible adhd) hypermobility, separation anxiety and selective eating. He is currently under the care of a private OT, physiotherapist and Autism specialist.

He is a very likeable and loveable child, but very exhausting! My recent health needs mean that I would benefit from having some time off caring for him during the weekdays. He attends a home education club with me every Tuesday, but aside from that we would be flexible for someone to come to our home/take him to home education activities if relevant/local softplay/engage in basic fun learning activities with him in our home whilst I get on with other tasks/rest. So if you are a driver, great. If not, we can work around that.

Our lifestyle and home education approach is very nature based, and we loosely follow a Waldorf/Montessori approach which works well for him. Our home is set up to best meet his needs. He has a separate playroom and the kitchen neatly houses his home learning resources. In our small Livingroom we have several pieces of physio/sensory equipment. We are currently working on a small sensory room for him too. We have a good size garden with a sandpit and small trampoline.

We are a kind and friendly family and we are looking for a fun, energetic and kind person who is flexible in meeting his needs and will enjoy engaging in fun sensory/basic learning/other enjoyable activities with him and work together with us as a team to best meet his needs.
