I am working in a private nursery full time in Weston-Super-Mare, as a preschool room manager. But I am looking to change my career path. I am an enthusiastic, outgoing, determined, hard working woman.
I have 11 years of experience working with children of all ages. As you can see in my C.V (I can send it) a lot of my experience has been with nursery age children, I have a level in childcare and early years and education, which has helped me get me to where I am today.
I have worked with a lot of children in all different environments: - At nursery, at home and while being on holiday as I worked abroad for four years looking after children in the ‘Kids clubs’ and ‘crèches’. Here I worked with children from 2 week old babies to 17 year old children. I work well with in a team and on an individual basis.
I really enjoy reading I want to encourage and help children to love reading too. I really enjoy exercising and believe that children have so much energy they need to burn it off in positive ways; e.g organised games, using their imagination and physically acting it out, dancing being creative, races and different ball games etc. I believe that children learn more through being out and about and inter-linking the curriculum with being out and about getting fresh air.
I believe that teaching children can be fun for us as well as for the children. I find it extremely rewarding when a child has learnt something new with my help – I feel like praise and encouragement and consistency is the key to children enjoying subjects and enjoying learning new skills.
At the moment out of work time I love walking and keeping fit, reading, and socialising with my friends. I also babysit in my spare time where I build up good relationships with the children and parents. I am in the second year of completing my Early Years foundation degree. I am also trying to get a children’s party business up and running, and an event drop-in service, again which includes interacting with children and their parents I thoroughly enjoy both. I feel that interacting with the parents and building a good relationship with them as well as the children is paramount.
Thank you for taking time to read my application, I will look forward to hear from you.
